It's beautiful out, at least

So this weekend wash an utterly anti-climatic wash, I didn't get any work done (oh hai, looming deadlines), I promised
nepenthe that I'd buy her Comic-con ticket for her while she's at work and then left my card at home (I really, really hope they take Paypal) and I turn twenty-six in nine days and apparently freaking out about birthdays is something I do now.
I AM FULL OF FEELINGS. SAD, CRANKY FEELINGS.
Please, rlist, give me a drabble prompt, ask me a question, request a rec, write something, link me something, rec some music, whatever strikes your fancy. I could use some cheering up; would like to give people something.
(And shit, I never said thanks for the comments over at the love meme. But I'm thinking about it now and I am grateful and full of affection, thank you.)
ETA: Wow, are these last three posts a roller-coaster or what?

Date: 2010-11-01 05:11 pm (UTC)Hurray, music! And Mountain Goats, yes (I have a playlist called 'Long Day' - it's only got four songs on it, 'This Year' is one of them).
Let's see:
Grace Dominguez was the world's greatest (potential) supervillian. She was a genius, of course, fully versed in physics and chemistry and structural engineering by the time she was eight. She was charismatic, creative, hard working, and utterly ruthless.
Above all that, the thing that made her the best, was her practicality. You couldn't take over the world in third grade - you had to finish middle school, at least, and there were her parents to think about, and she still hadn't figured out a way around that pesky law of gravity.
But someday, someday soon, oh yes. She'd be unstoppable.
(oh shit, I think I just webcomic!bunnied myself.)
