Wake the Sun

Vividcon, for those of you living under rocks Nepenthe was last weekend. Which means fandom has been flooded with really, really excellent vids that I have been watching nonstop.

My favorites:

Forever Fuzz (Hot Fuzz) by jescaflowne: How much do I love this? So damn much. It's like someone reached into my head and pulled out my perfect romance movie - camp, schmoop, guns, explosions, cheese and True Love. And queerness. Lots and lots of queerness. I suspect I will be watching this whenever I need a pickmeup for the rest of my life.

Marble House (Doctor Who) by hollywoodgrrl: I say to you, ma'am, holy shit. This vid requires vigorous unpacking, and essays, and fame and accolades showered upon it. A fantastic contrast/companion to Handlebars, in my mind.

Metaphor (multifandom) by flummery and cesperanza: Chicks dig dig d-i-g dig dig metaphors (these ladies are brilliant, is all I'm saying).

Video Killed the Radio Star (Wizard of Oz/Wicked) by dualbunny: This is a 'Wicked' vid, centered around Elphaba, that uses footage entirely from 'The Wizard of Oz.' Set to 'Video Killed the Radio Star.' I know. It is amazing.
