* Oh man, I do not even know where to start with all the commentary on the US Health Care bill - maybe I'll have something up next week after I've had a chance to catch up over the weekend. In the meantime, the Washington Post has a pretty basic overview of the bill itself.
* Yesterday was Ada Lovelace Day! The Finding Ada website has a massive roundup of posts. The OTW has another, smaller one.
* An Open Letter to Conservatives has the most comprehensive roundup of Republican Party Fail I've seen yet.
* On Fugitivus - A Few Things To Stop Doing When You Find a Feminist Blog: Here is the thing, okay? Coming into a feminist conversation with, “Have you considered that sometimes women acquire free drinks at bars?” is like walking into graduate school during Philosophy finals and saying, “Have you considered that the color blue that I see may not be the color blue that you see?
* A trio of posts -
bookshop wrote Bad Romance (or, YA & Rape Culture), hush hush, the designated love interest and gender relations in YA and why ya romance needs to change are excellent responses.

Date: 2010-03-25 07:45 pm (UTC)Greg Bear is doubtless grinning. (This is Blood Music made RL.)
Glad someone else is articulating what about Twilight and its sequelae really ooked me out.
Enh w/r/t Chris Evans as Cap. I would've thought he was too young for the role - or maybe I'm just going on his Johnny Storm. He might work well with RDJ, but I remain to be convinced. (Someone in "Band of Brothers" fandom suggested Neal McDonough might've been a good choice for Cap once upon a time.)

As for 2) - that should not be too hard to imagine. Surely there'll be fic soon. *peers at the interwebz*
