From
zanzando:
1. Comment to this entry and I will pick 7 of your icons.
2. Make an entry in your own journal and talk about the icons I picked!
zanzando asked me about:

Eddie/Kid Devil from Teen Titans (although this particular story is in Blue Beetle), creating a distraction at the (non-existent) Houston Space Center's launch facility. This is my go-to science/tech icon and I <3 it lots. Made by
morgicons.

Reno! From Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, looking all coy and quoting Monty Python (he does not actually do this in the movie, alas). I use this one for all sorts of things - sexual innuendo, flirtatiousness and, of course, conversations about underwear. Made by
ciceqi.

Image and quote from XKCD - sometimes I use this icon as encouragement in situations that aren't too serious, sometimes I use it to mock situations that aren't too serious. Made by
halcyonjazz.

Ha! This is my gratuitous Axel/Roxas icon (part of my gratuitous [pairing] icon series!) and also my ridiculous!emo!LOVE SONG! icon. Axel's good like that. Made by
ace_van

I'm not a big fan of team sports - I understand the rules for most of them and can follow the games, but it's just not my thing. Curling is the exception to this. I have no idea why. Made by
winterlive.

Oh, Donna. This icon is for standing firm in the face of adversity; for the times I need to remember to hope. Made by dollowayward.

Taken from scans of the Super Dictionary, which is an actual thing. A wonderful, cracktastic thing. Icon is obviously for times Batman needs to be serious. Made by
sluggirl
And I'll copy Zan on this bit - I'm adding a free-for-all option: ask me about any of my icons in a comment, and I'll explain those, too.
So! Anyone want to play?

Date: 2010-05-09 03:23 pm (UTC)I love icons. I love collecting them and picking out just the right ones to go on my journal and hunting down ones I need for specific purposes and going through and weeding out the ones I don't use... Mmm. Icons.

Date: 2010-05-09 08:47 pm (UTC)Okay, here's the fandom overview/ship manifesto. The whole series is damn hard to track down in realspace, even in the states, but you can torrent it pretty easily. My delicious tags are here. You'll want to be familiar with canon for most of them but Shut Up! (porn, great Wade voice) and Marvel Adventures: C&DP should be alright (for the second, all you need to know is that 'Marvel Adventures' is an official au aimed at kids and Hope's adult clone was Nate's mom and in the main canon he's been taking care of her).
I <3 it a lot.
