[avoids eye contact] There's preperation for merriment going on outside the office and if I can't concentrate on work then I'm damn well going to read some fic. Also, I suddenly (yeah, a little slow here) really want candy. And me without a costume...

This Crap is Not My Crap by zingerella. Not fannish per say, but a wonderful post about deep thinky things none the less.

[Lord of the Rings] They Say of the Elves by Brancher (Legolas/Gimli). You know what they say of the Elves, that they'll tumble you soon as look at you; seducers, coquettes, you'll wake with only a handful of leaves and a sweet taste in your mouth. Legolas/Gimli is the only pairing I'm really interested in with LotR (although I'll take a good Sam/Frodo fic if I find it) and it is sadly hard to find. This rare gem is one of my favorites.

[Lord of the Rings] Mischief and Magic by Bill the Pony (Sam/Frodo). "Likes me well enough, I'll warrant, though no better than he should," Sam felt his face burn at the half-intended slip, and scolded himself for a ninnyhammer, his heart pounding in his throat. A sweet, porny bit of fluff, made all the better by the author's wonderful use of language.

Sunday:

[Kingdom Hearts 2/Final Fantasy 7] Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll: Mean Streets, First Time Jitters, and Upside Down and Backwards by laylah   (Axel/Roxas). The first time the red-haired man shows up, Roxas figures he's a lot like the rest of the perverts who cruise the slums in Sector Six. A hot little AU series, set in Final Fantasy's Lower Midgar (pre-game, I think?). Axel's a part time performer, part time something else, Roxas is the street kid who follows him home.

[Kingdom Hearts CoM/2] Inconsistent System by mousapelli   (Axel/Roxas). Roxas is on his feet again almost as soon as he touches the ground, keyblades sparking against Axel's chakrams in a shower of black stars. Their sharp, cold edges sting Axel's cheeks just a little where they graze, and Axel thinks that when he has to go, he wouldn't mind being swallowed like the light. A look at the events of the games through Axel's eyes.
