This is pretty stream-of-consciousness-as-I-watch, fair warning.


* Torchwood makes *much* better thieves then childnappers. And I am rolling, ROLLING, on the floor. And crying, because. THIEVES! AND IT'S GWEN'S IDEA.

* god, the coat. Jack, I'm so happy for you, i know the separation was hard. Ianto, wtf 'army surplus,' you totally found one of Jack's stashes.

* Ianto having to talk Jack *into* sex? The world really is ending.

* Andy, Yay!

* Ah, she remembered to grab a knife! They had training! Things in this miniseries are actually making sense and being halfway reasonable/realistic, I don't know if it's actually Torchwood.

* AND THE CUTTING BOARD TO THE HEAD, THEN SHE GRABS HIS GUN.

* These aliens really have a flair for the dramatic, I'll give 'em that much.

* Oh, ew.

* "We would speak to the world." Uh, isn't what you've *been* doing?

* ...why is Foebisher, or whatever his name is, in charge of first contact? Don't they have people trained for this? *Has* he been trained for this and this is as good as it gets? Damn, they really shouldn't have pissed off Torchwood.

* I'm pretty sure the UK sold or otherwise gave those kids to the 456 in the 'previous meeting.' Question is, why? And who got this plot all over my Torchwood i kinda like it?

* 456 is totally getting a kick out of this mysterious bullshit, you can tell.

* YES, I mean no, boo, current!UNIT, BUT SPECIALLY TRAINED, FOLKS, THAT'S IMPORTANT.

* Annnnnd that's what Frobisher's 'oh, you fucking coward, no' face looks like (I may be projecting).

* AH! Sneaky Jack is sneaky. A+ camera work, Beeb!

* On the other hand, STOP with closeups on the news reporters, it's creepy *and* overdone.

* "Oh, don't do that, I hate smilies." :D :D :D

* Oh, Barrowman, you're 'I'm the Captain and I've made hard decisions' face is so distinctive. And constipated.
