Alright! I have imported my journal, started recreating my circle, uploaded a bunch of spiffy new icons, gone back and sorted through old posts, and tagged the hell out of everything. I still need to write a new header post and profile, plus MOAR ICONS (I have a problem, okay, I admit it), but. I think we're open for business.

A note for those interested: I'll be using Dreamwidth as my homebase, crossposting to LJ but disabling comments there/forwarding them here. Won't ever entirely leave - I have a comm to moderate, after all [pets it].

A second note: I've created [community profile] dallas_fortworth for those of us in the Dallas/Fort Worth area - first order of business is putting together an Open Beta party, yay!

So. I created my Livejournal account March 21st, 2005. That's just over four years, which is... incredibly bizarre. It feels both longer and much shorter, you know? The first post still recorded (I think I went back and purged sometime in '07, which I now regret, alas) is June 7th, 2005. It's followed by the slightly more interesting post on volunteering at San Fransisco Pride '05 which, geez, the memories. I still totally have the Third Eye Blind song list the drummer was using somewhere in my memento box.

Also excavated, the only fanfic I've ever finished - [mars] (A'A Prime, Mori/Tacto) which, my god, is still up over at [livejournal.com profile] yaoichallenge. I haven't read over it yet (ha!) but I can remember sitting in my aunt and uncle's living room, agonizing over word choices and descriptions and if I was talking about Mori's hands too much.

And I used to occasionally post art! And talk about the things I was reading, instead of just sticking them into delicious. It worked pretty well for me, I think, we'll see if I can get myself back into the habit.

Here's to another four years (at least!) with Dreamwidth and many, many more lurking in fandom!
