Currently Reading:
The Corinthian by Georgette Heyer
Skeen's Search by Jo Clayton
Shadowpact (comic, 1-25, research for the HSM/DC crossover I'm not writing)
Cunt by Inga Muscio
The Prophet of Zongo Street by Mohammed Naseehu Ali
Finished Reading:
Fledgling by Octavia Butler
Un Lun Dun by China Meville
The Homeward Bounders by Diana Wynne Jones
To Read Pile:
Around the Bloc by Stephanie Elizondo Griest
The Prophet of Zongo Street by Mohammed Naseehu Ali
Travels With Charlie - in Search of America by John Steinbeck
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (reread)
Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon (reread)
Fledgling, Un Lun Dun, and The Homeward Bounders were all fantastic, hurrah for good books! Un Dun Lun in particular I *just* finished and it's left me with a happy, fuzzy feeling. Not that it's a happy, fuzzy book - it's not - but our (un)heroine smart and brave and crazy in a really *honest* way, much like the story (and abcity) itself. And she's British-born Indian. And there are extreme librarians (bookaneers!), and giraffes, and tons of fun illustrations by China himself. I will definitely be rereading this one [hugs it].
