[hugs the day]
Mar. 21st, 2009 06:42 pmIt. Is a beautiful day (76 degrees, slightly cloudy, light breeze, and suddenly Texas doesn't seem so bad) and I am quite enjoying it. Am at my parent's ranch, hanging out with my sister for the last of her spring break, being slobbered on by various animals (cats, dogs, donkeys and horses so far) adoring the weather, and reading lots of Merlin!fic and watching lots of Merlin!vids.
And
bookshop has just pointed me to 'Camelot's Sweethearts, which I think I will print out (in, uh, a really small type size) [Edit: okay, maybe just the first 20 pages] and go read by the pool. Maybe with a cat.
Tonight, I will hook up my laptop to the ginormous plasma TV and watch all my Merlin vids (and possibly some others) again, hurray. I've done this before, when I thought everyone was out of the house, only then my father came in, then my mother and then, just as 'If I Was Your Girl' came up, my sister and her boyfriend. Who stood there and watched the whole thing with slightly puzzled looks on their faces. I explained that it was a academic analysis of the homoerotic subtext in BBC's Merlin (yes, verbatim, I was kind of proud of myself), they laughed at me and wandered back out. I now feel totally justified in putting this stuff on the screen whenever.
Yay!
