* Apartment hunting is hard, ya'll. Admittedly, we're looking for a 3bd/2br place in central-ish Dallas that's >$1300/mo, aka the holy grail, but still. Arrrrg.

* I am kinda bemused that I can not give my porn away. I mean, free porn! Gently used! (Yes, Zan, I'll post it to sharethelove in the morning. Bonus points for a super relevant comm name!)

* The roommate and I are going through post-finale tv depression - all our shows (except for Dr Who - bless the British) are finished for the season, the Daily Show is on hiatus and we've watched all the episodes of Cake Boss and Can't Get a Date that Netflix has up. We ended up watching three episodes of Desperate Landscapes and mocking people's Craigslist personals.

* Anyone have any show recs? Otherwise I'll be forced to start a Middleman or No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency rewatch. Actually, I'll be doing that anyway.

* Not gonna make Wiscon this year, sadly. Thinking about hitting up A-Kon instead, since it's right downtown, but idk. A-Kon always makes me feel old (yes, laugh at me, fine). Although the lady who does Hanna is Not a Boy's Name is gonna be at artist's alley this year, that'd be worth checking out. I should see who else will be attending...

* ETA: HELL YES, Abney Park's gonna be at A-Kon! And Peter Beagle's back, yay, I love listening to him talk about (really random) stuff.

All my sympathies about the apartment hunting. When I was looking for my apartment at one point I just gave up. A friend had to drag me out looking again before I finally found something I liked and could afford.
