Bacon and maple syrup! Should the two ever be combined? Either directly or in some other form, like maple-bacon muffins?

I've both had syrup get on my bacon unintentionally and dipped it in syrup intentionally and always found it delicious! I don't believe I've had it in muffin form, but I have seen recipes and think it would be good.

Oh man, it is delicious. Just the right amount of sweet and savory. I'll post the recipie I used tonight, I think, it was super easy.
