Yuletide Reveal!

I wrote two stories for Yuletide - my assignment and a last minute Yuletide Madness ficbit.

Recoil and Grace (The Sandman, Morpheus/Lucifer, 4613 words) for Grenegome: Child, I have no knack for storytelling.

The Sandman was a last minute add-on to my offered fandoms, with 'any' checked for the characters because why the hell not, right? And it turns out that when they tell you to be careful checking that 'any' option because you will, in fact, get anything, they are not kidding. Dream/Lucifer was something I had never thought of and writing this fic was very much an exercise in convincing myself of the pairing (well, that and the marathon reread of canon - it's *really* slashy when you go back looking for it). It worked, too :DDDDDDDDD

Additional, gratuitous characters are Traci 13 (from Blue Beetle) and Detective Chimp (from a lot of places), whom I love dearly.

I've been told a number of times that this fic is less a story and more an opening chapter, something I very much agree with - there's a lot more here to tell and I'll definitely be telling it.

Life Less Ordinary (Blue Beetle, Gen-ish Jaime/Traci, 582 words) for museofspeed: "New rule. From now on, no taking your sister off planet unless you have explicit permission or it's an emergency.".

Done in part for the dark_agenda challenge and in part because museofspeed was one of the last yuletiders without a story and I could totally do a Blue Beetle story, just watch me, wheeee. I wrote this in... five hours, I think? On Christmas Eve while my family looked on in bemusement and it shows (I really dislike the title), but it's a fun little bit of fluff and people seem to like it, so.

Like what she sees by Katarik (Blue Beetle/Extended DCU): Traci has some thinking to do.

It's a wonderful character study of Traci, the places and people she's been (she's got a brief, complicated canon backstory) and the person she is now, set before her first appearance in Blue Beetle. It's a lovely, almost lyrical piece and definitely incorporated into my personal canon.

I was wondering as I was reading which was the borrowed character, and where you had borrowed it from! Perhaps you should stick it in the Author's Notes section. Unless you did before and I just Sarvered.
