Sorry, came into work and was immediately distracted by the Vividcon fail.
I have revised my opinion re: the costume - I like it as a costume (I'm always excited to see female heroes wearing pants and sensible shoes) but you're right, it's not good enough/iconic enough for Diana. I've never liked her standard look - way too skimpy, way too US-centric - and welcome the idea of an update... but this isn't it.
Heh, and then I go over to Project Rooftop to refresh my memory on the entries for the Wonder Woman contest... and I like the leotard just fine. Maybe it's the 'traditional' objectification I'm objecting to more than the suit itself, idk.
I am 100% with you on the backstory, wtf. I'm imagining a world where they suggested changing Clark or Bruce's background that drastically (and that faily) and. It's not pretty.
