Weekend picspam

I was out at my parent's ranch this weekend and it was glorious out - all crisp blue skies and warm sunshine and cool breezes. Between that and a copious amount of time hanging out with my dad and the animals, I think we can confidently call this a good weekend*. Also there was handing out candy at my grandparents... well. Reading McCall Smith and watching my brother hand out candy, same thing.

The back pasture.

View past the gate at the far back of the back pasture [grins] - this is technically our neighbor's land.

The eastern part of the property (12 acres) is lightly wooded and includes half of a cow tank (not a pond, an artificial watering hole for cows. I have been corrected on this a number of times).

The front pasture - from left to right, that's Seeker, Ellie, Pipsqueak, Echo, Sunny and Lance (the big white blur front right).

Next to the barn - the donkeys say HAI. From left to right, that's Richie, Dude, Tia Rose and her girlfriend, Roberta (lesbian donkeys FTW).

Lizelle for size comparison (and because she can't *not* have her picture taken).

Inside the barn (you can juuuust see Ray, down there on the left).

Billie Bob (aka William Robert) also says hello.

My original goal was to track down all seven cats and and photograph them - I managed to find six of 'em, but only two of the shots were any good. This is Camelot:

And these are the kittens, Pepper Potts (3 months, facing away from the camera) and Romo (6 months, facing the camera), getting ready for ADVENTURE.

And a shot of Conner, because he's pretty.

Not pictured: (cats) Zipper, Steve, Cecil, Gandalf (although that's him up in my icon) and (dogs) Daffy, Daisy, Bud, and Barnaby.
This is my dad's office out in the poolhouse - it's basically what I want my whole house to look like someday, all blues and pale woods and sunlight and books and wonderful things.

Finally, some pecans on the tree (mmm, pecans):

And in a pan in the kitchen:

But wait, there's more! Bonus video: Dude and Lizelle spotted me when I was back taking photos of the cow tank and came over to see what I was up too:
And Camelot was following me around the entire time:
Whew.
*I complained on twitter about some family drama but, really. We're pretty low key - 'drama' is when X does something Y doesn't like and then Y is pissy about it for a while.
