Mmm, fanfic. These are a couple of my favorites, though now that I've read the series again I find I want new and different stories. More about Sai! More about Hikaru's family! More about Hikaru's sexuality! More about Nase! More about Isumi and Waya! More about how the Go world works!

Possibly this is because I focused pretty hard on Hikaru/Akira.

I'm very, very new to this fandom, but my favourite fic so far is probably 'Preliminaries' (http://stirring-still.livejournal.com/5583.html), as it just feels so realistic, and I feel like she's really captured Shindou and Touya.

I'm really, really like to find more good fic about Sai.

Here's some recent stuff from blind go round 10.

There really is something for everyone in the Blind Go bag this time: very diverse, from crack to melancholy to tragic. I particularly liked: Erin Ellis’s Curiosity and the cat (crack reincarnation), Ontogenesis’s A curious visitor (Kouyo), Go Hedgehog’s and someday you will be a real boy (timetravel AU), Aithine's No ghost was ever seen (Akihika), Jesudor’s Silenced (Sai watches Akiko), Lanerose’s Grey Sky Elegy (Mood piece), Measuringlife’s Silk Flowers (Living Sai AU) and Trixie_Chick’s 'E' series of ficlets (visits thoughout the universe with a connecting theme).

And in this round onkoona ventured into the Edo and I into the Heian

I would actually love to read a 'Touya's-side-of-the-story' Resolution of Territory fic. There's a lot of unanswered questions there!

My favorite Hikaru's mother fic by murinae: Sweetness Follows. (Okay, so it was based on a drabble I wrote so maybe I'm biased, but I love Muri's writing XD).

There are some Nase fic recs (as well as fics with other female characters) here.

It'll take me a while to dig up my favorite Sai fics, but ontogenesis's desynchronization is the first that comes to mind (that link goes to the first chapter but the rest can be found at the fic index.)
