Well, at least he gets a name; Hikaru's mom, is just called "Hikaru's mom".

How do I know that? I don't precisely remember. I think it might be her dad (Grandpa) who uses it.
Perhaps this comes up later, i.e. after they wrote the character guide, (after vol 17).
