I am ~officially~ moving Epic Post time to 3pm (US Central) because, honestly. At noon I am either thinking about lunch, going to get lunch, or eating lunch and there is not a lot of time for HikaGo amongst all that lunchiness.

There's something interesting about that last screencap, the overhead shot of the go boards. Do you mind if I use some of these for icons?

BTW are you screencapping from DVDs or streaming?

Neither, it from the fansubbed version. I try to cap every word and action so you can "read" the story in the pictures

actualy if you click on any of the grabs i uploaded, and go to the actual picture it has a "get link code for this image", go there and use the " Hotlink a clickable thumbnail on any Website or Auction! " for this DW blogs. Should work on any blog.

There are quite a few background shots in these intense colors - might make neat wallpaper.

That's okay. They seem to work fine if downloaded from the imagevenue site and provided that your screen isn't too large.

yeah, the overhead shots were interesting. I wasn't quite sure if I should use it as an index pic for the screenshots, as it's at a quite odd angle, and I deleberately chose ultra clear pictues of each of the other post. However it did show the content of that part of the episide so acurately, I really couldn't not put it up!

I like the angle on Hikaru's hair. In fact they're each unmistakable because of their hair

I think quite a lot of thought has gone into designing each character; they all have very clear acoutraments that even with the lack of colour in the manga you can tell them appart vet easily.
I strongly suspect that that is where Akira goet his hair cut from. The poor dear....

I agree that these characters are very distinctive in the manga. I got pretty lost in Ranma 1/2 because I muddled people up.

For the Hikago anime, I read that they'd chosen a color for each character and decided that the eyebrows would always be visible through the hair (unlike in the manga). It took me a while to get used to Akira having green hair - cracked me up the first time I saw episode 1. As for his haircut, it looks like one that a parent could do themselves, provided they could cut straight and the child held still...

LOL! It works better on some than others. My mum tried it on me but my hair doesn't grow straight so it was rather a disaster.

I do actually think the style suits Akira and with it cut like that he can swish it around dramatically!
