Hikaru’s game with Yongha is epic. Despite the commentary, I had a hard time following it. However, it was a real game (Fujitsu final, 2002) and you can play through all the moves here!
The mother site has many of the games in the same format, but is in Japanese.
Poor show on the parenting front: After Shindou’s Mum who left half way through, now Yashiro’s Dad who doesn’t even take a look at the games and Touya Kouyou who leaves without even seeing Akira – though I did like his psychology of Akira’s playing to win, and Aikawa, who, in ignorance of Kouyou’s celebrity, decides it must be okay to let him into the viewing room seeing as he’s Touya Akira’s Dad.
I read a rumour that the ending to the Hokuto cup arc got changed at the last moment because of a problem with a living Go player who thought they had been depicted in the Manga. Does anyone know anything more about this?
In the edition I read (Tonkam) there is an extra part at the end of this volume, after the Hokuto cup. It includes the start of the young lion’s tournament and has a wholly different feel: we see Hikaru from the outside, as if from a distance. I liked that this ended mid-game – it left me with the feeling that all must continue.
This final part also introduced two rival insei: Oka and Shouji. Due, I think to an error in translation, Oka was thought to be female for a long while, though recently confirmed to be male. Nevertheless, I think the mistake has led a greater amount of fanfics to be written featuring Oka than would have been without the error – the fandom welcomed another female character.
There is no end!

Favorite moment: when Yongha agrees with Shindou on why they play Go, but asks Suyon not to translate (he wants to stay the ‘bad guy’, doesn’t he?)
Take a look at Touya’s face as well (he too understands what’s been said).
